BALCONYThis stunning balcony shows how we can integrate the inside and outside areas with large sliding glazed screens opening up the house to the garden and amazing viewsThe balcony was an important feature of the original design and cantilevered steel beams were built in during the main build to support the balcony. This avoided any supporting posts which would have looked clumsy in comparison with the sleek lines of the balcony. More more more...By adding an extension to this Prestwich home, it allowed @sgharchitects to
create a spacious open plan arrangement with black aluminium framed sliding doors that lead out on to the garden terrace.The choice and articulation of materials selected for this project helped to integrate various elements of the build together. Composite board decking used to construct the raised garden terrace complements the vertical timber board wall cladding in terms of texture, scale and appearance. This approach has been used throughout the design to achieve a coherent design
approach and finish.Now we just need the British sunshine to make an appearance!#countryliving
